A Pioneer in Fertility Hypnosis
As the creator of HypnoFertility®, I am widely recognized as a pioneer in the use of hypnosis to support fertility. I began professionally using hypnosis to facilitate pregnancy at a time when few had considered its potential, long before there was information available in books or online. I later established the first certification program for therapists in this field, which I have taught internationally.
Over the years, I have authored three books and regularly receive referrals from leading fertility clinics across the United States. I am often sought out for complex cases, situations where individuals have been told their chances are extremely low, where medical treatments have failed, or when other approaches have been exhausted.
I have been featured in national and international media including television news, talk shows, podcasts, radio, and print, and my work continues to inform ongoing research into mind-body approaches to fertility.
How This Work Began
In 1992, I had a profound personal experience when I sensed the presence of a spirit baby who communicated that he would be coming, even though I had been told I would not have another child. This experience sparked a deep exploration of meditation, energy work, and spiritual practice, eventually leading me to Reiki and the emergence of what I later called the 3 Keys to Conception, insights that arose intuitively years before HypnoFertility was formally developed. At the time, I did not yet see how these elements would become foundational to my work, but they quietly shaped the path that would unfold.
From the very beginning of my professional work, I noticed something that would become central to my approach. Many clients came to me after being told they would never have a baby. Sometimes given a zero percent chance, sometimes told they were not candidates for IVF. Yet they would say, often with certainty, “I just know there is a baby there.”
I listened. I believed them. I recognized that knowing from my own experience. And I worked from that place of knowing, supporting clients not only emotionally and psychologically, but in honoring the deeper inner sense that something meaningful was unfolding.
Training, Research and Recognition
My style integrates scientific understanding with intuitive awareness. I hold a master’s degree in Depth Psychology and am a board-certified hypnotherapist and instructor. As part of my master’s degree, I conducted a retrospective review of 15 years of HypnoFertility client records, examining demographic, psychological, and clinical variables associated with fertility treatment outcomes. This research informed the continued evolution of the HypnoFertility® method.
With more than 26 years of experience in fertility hypnosis and over 30 years in the healing arts, I am also trained in practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and energy-based approaches, including several systems of Reiki, that support emotional, physiological, and spiritual balance.
I received the Hypnosis Research Award in 2005 from the National Guild of Hypnotists for my groundbreaking work in this field, the Order of Braid Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Guild of Hypnotists in 2015, and the Education and Research Award from the HypnoBirthing Institute in 2005.
A Whole-Person Approach
Drawing from a biopsychosocial perspective, I consider the full spectrum of factors that influence fertility, including the biological, psychological, emotional, relational, and environmental. I am known for my ability to communicate with the subconscious mind and to help clients restore a sense of connection with their bodies.
Spirit Babies and the Pink StarLights
Working from the place of my clients’ inner knowing, I began to notice consistent experiences of connection with the soul of the baby. Clients spoke of sensing a presence, receiving guidance, or feeling a profound awareness that unfolded naturally within the work. This deepened into my understanding of spirit baby connection and, in particular, the Pink StarLights, a group of spirit babies I recognize as carrying a unique presence and mission.
The progression of my books mirrors the evolution of my work. From hypnosis-focused foundations to deeper exploration of the spiritual dimensions of conception and spirit baby connection, and ultimately to the emergence of the Pink StarLights.
Clients often refer to me as a “spiritual midwife” or “spirit baby whisperer” because of my ability to support them through deeply personal and transformative experiences, often at times when they have been told success is unlikely.
I believe that when a person feels a deep calling to have a baby, there is a reason. My work is devoted to helping individuals navigate the fertility journey with clarity, resilience, and support, integrating mind, body, and the spiritual dimensions of becoming a parent.
